Position Summary: The Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy and execution of ticket sales initiatives across the Timberwolves and Lynx. This individual will collaborate with marketing, ticket sales, business intelligence an d other stakeholders to drive revenue while incorporating the brand, with the ultimate goal of expanding and attracting new audiences.

  • Build strategic marketing plans and campaigns to meet organizational objectives focused on driving key performance metrics
  • Develop and present marketing briefs that are clear, concise and deliver on marketing objectives & garner support from leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Build marketing campaigns in support of ticket sales across owned and paid marketing channels, including but not limited to email, web, app, video , in-arena and radio executions
  • Identifies key audience opportunities, develops strategies for each audience and sees them through execution and reporting
  • Plans, activates and oversees in-market and in-arena brand experiences, including Pride March & Festival, the Minnesota State Fair, and promotional giveaways
  • Lead integrated cross-functional teams across the organization to develop and deliver integrated campaign & project assets
  • Fle x between strategy and execution to ensure campaigns and projects meet strategic objectives and are executed flawlessly
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to measure performance, report, analyze and optimize campaigns
  • Collaborate with Media Planner to develop creative assets that complement campaigns and priority audiences
  • Provide management, coaching and professional guidance to direct reports
  • Function as the expert across channels and stay up to date on industry/competitive trends and technologies, betas, and best practices

Experience: 2-3 years managing people, 3-5 years within revenue driving marketing functions

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Travel: Position may require travel to external events.

Additional Information

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Game night shifts are usually 2 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Staff may be asked to work external events including but not limited to: player or community appearances, or charity and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps.

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment. Staff will occasionally ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff will frequently move boxes of merchandise and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
