Business Development Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Analyze the GovCon market trends, identify new business opportunities, and track upcoming government procurement actions, especially those pertaining to the Navy and USMC.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the federal sector, with a focus on Navy and USMC contacts.
  • Proposal Development: Participate with cross-functional teams to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and other government solicitations.
  • Strategic Planning: In a supporting role to the Director of Business Strategy, provide inputs to the Innovatus Technology Consulting’s strategic plan, focusing on opportunities within the DoD.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor offerings, strategies, and partnerships in the GovCon landscape.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports detailing business development activities, market trends, and opportunities, ensuring senior management is informed of strategic shifts in the GovCon sector.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to develop and implement holistic business development strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a focus in a STEM-related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the GovCon industry, with a proven track record of successful business development initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret complex government RFPs and RFIs and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Excellent communication, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for market research, CRM systems, and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the Navy and USMC procurement processes, contacts, and priorities.
  • Prior military service or civilian experience directly supporting the Navy and/or USMC.
  • Existing network of contacts within the Navy, USMC, and the broader GovCon community.
