Contract Manager

The Contract Manger (CM) will be a national role with the primary focus on contract and license management of all business units (BUs) of EIS. The CM will report to the CFO.

Essential Functions

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Contract Manager to make sure our company is protected. You will have a role in making sure that all contracts we sign with clients or vendors for services or equipment are fit for purpose, comply with our company’s policies, and meet local legal requirements. As the contract manager, it is your responsibility to understand what our company can and cannot do in terms of legal relationships and liability.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Drafts, reviews redline, and interprets contracts, including but not limited to master service agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and licensing.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms, risks, compliance, and best practices.
  • Manages contract life cycle approvals and signatures.
  • Ability to track licenses for all BUs and renew as needed.
  • Conduct potential legal tasks including acting as a business liaison between internal or outside counsel or affiliate companies.
  • Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained, and the contract review and approval process are efficient.
  • Evaluate, design and implement solutions and tools for Contract Administration, workflows, repository, and analytics.
  • Communicate and present information to executive leadership about all contract-related matters.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for internal teams on contract-related best practices.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Responds to requests from internal departments and makes sure all contracts are drafted and executed promptly and correctly.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
  • Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes.
  • Research and other tasks assigned in this position, the Company expects you will devote your business time, attention, and energies to the Company’s business and operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working in contract management, project management, or procurement.
  • Diploma, certification or equivalent related to Contract Management preferred.
  • Experience working on complex contractual projects preferred.
  • Experience in construction inclusive of environmental remediation, abatement and demolition preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
  • Highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, yet within a team environment.
  • Occasional out of town travel may be required.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or Associate Degree and Certified Paralegal (CP or ACP) or equivalent number of years of contract experience.
