Director of Operations

Our client is a profitable and highly respected company desires an experienced Director of Operations for their Dayton, Ohio area location.

Main Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility for the Director of Operations is to manage plant manufacturing operations by managing scheduling, manpower, machinery, to meet customers’ requirements, develop and control costs within budget, develop and implement programs to achieve corporate safety goals, implement and control policy and procedures to meet local, state and federal requirements, facilitate and commercialize new process/material and products thru plant facility equipment.

The person selected for this position will be responsible for reviewing manufacturing production schedules and coordinating the flow of materials and manufacturing of finished goods to the Customer by performing the following duties through facilitation of the Team Leader, Working Leader, and Utility positions in each respective team.

Review financial statements, and shift production reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.

The position is responsible for the direction, coordination, evaluation of the production department hourly work force and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Main Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree (required)

– 7 or more years of recent experience in Plant Operations Lean Manufacturing roles with Profit and Loss responsibility (P&L) (Required)

-Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and practices, process improvement (Required)

-Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
