Regional Sales Manager

SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales. They will manage regional sales programs designed to achieve sales objectives. Supervise independent Manufacturer’s sales reps assigned to the regional territory, manage key distributors and end users customers. Establish, define, and plan regional strategy in tight alignment with overall company strategy. Seek new end user customers while growing revenue and margin within the assigned territory and account assignment. This is a remote position but preferable in the New York or in the Northeast states.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecast revenue by customer type and product for the territory each year across all JSG brands.
  • Manage rep groups per company policy and process including annual and monthly revenue targets and activity goals, monthly opportunity reviews, new account targets, and end user targets and revenue goals.
  • Manage assigned distributors.
  • Increased revenue through strategic engagement, relationship development and sales with end users.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, annual sales objectives by distribution channel, product category and end-user segments.
  • Manage key accounts to meet the stated goals.
  • Develop merchandizing strategies to meet the needs of the end user and distributors.
  • Develop pricing plans to meet the business’ financial margin goals.
  • Cultivate stocking strategies to align with the end user demand.
  • Partner with Marketing for product knowledge, development and customer satisfaction.
  • Submit pricing deviations for approval to the VP of Sales
  • Maintain written records of all customer agreements and submit records to finance and Sales Operations.
  • Utilize the company CRM system to manage opportunity pipelines as well as use in daily manufacturer’s representative management.
  • Coordinate and participate in all sales training programs.
  • Implement all aspects of regional trade shows to including organization, build up, manning and break down.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors and end users.
  • Conduct distributor and end user seminars and trainings for Justrite Safety Group products.
  • Conduct sales meetings with distributor sales forces.
  • Create and deploy sales growth countermeasures directly informed by PSR, A3, or other formalized problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Monitor and act on MAP and open market eCommerce pricing irregularities and violations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related curriculum and/or 5 years relevant sales and sales management experience in the safety and industrial channel.
  • Must maintain high level of integrity with representation of Justrite Safety Group.
  • Willingness to travel by automobile and air 60%+ of time
  • Experience managing independent manufacturing representatives.
  • Sound understanding of CRM systems.
  • Extensive experience in safety supply or similar business to business industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), Salesforce, and PowerBI knowledge and use helpful.
