Position Summary

Reporting to the General Manager of Product Sales & Major Accounts, this position is responsible for developing the JCB Sales Strategy for renewable and alternative fuels while ensuring the maximum level of retail sales penetration and market share growth. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA., and supports the North American market.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Create AFV sales plan that positions JCB as a viable leader in the marketplace for renewable and alternative fueled construction equipment
  • Responsible for ensuring the maximum level off alternative fuel retail sales and market share growth of JCB alternative fueled products
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline achieving monthly metrics in conjunction with the field sales team
  • Use a consultative approach to influence customer purchase while also aiding their buy into the mission, business model, and JCB brand
  • Host customers and corporate visits while communicating business strategy and key activities
  • Support customer business and ensure issues and concerns are handled promptly and efficiently
  • Document product development opportunities and provide to product teams for investigation
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales or marketing experience in the heavy equipment industry
  • Experience and in depth understanding of alternative powered vehicles
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Experience with California Air Resources Board (CARB)
  • Governmental and/or Municipal sales process experience
  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests as applicable

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual, with knowledge of English and Spanish

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM system, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel local, regionally, and nationally, as required
  • Self-driven and motivated with the ability to understand direction, plan, and execute with little direction
  • A sense of urgency to deliver fast and accurate responses
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Effective presentation and written communication skills

Job Conditions:

  • Both office environment and occasionally dealership/customer facilities
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
