Reports to: Regional Manager of South Florida and i-Tech President and COO

FLSA Status: Exempt


The Solutions Consultant is responsible for working closely with the South Florida Regional Manager for new sales acquisition and business development in the i-Tech South Florida Region as defined as the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. The duties of this role include prospecting for new client acquisition and building and deepening relationships with existing clients.

The position is designed for a highly motivated individual with high aptitude to take on the role of a solutions sales consultant willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. This position is primarily responsible for the sale of managed IT services along with professional services projects. Additionally, this role is responsible for seeking out opportunities for EdTech partnership sales and all EdTech offerings.

In this role you are expected to prospect and develop new clients for the Company by:

  • Winning new qualified sales appointments and penetrating target prospective clients
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with prospects and clients
  • Understanding their business goals and needs
  • Educate prospects and clients about our value proposition
  • Add great value to our ever-growing family of clients by providing them with cost-effective IT solutions

This position works closely with the President of i-Tech along with the senior management team as listed here: (1) Administration including HR and Finance, (2) Operations, (3) EdTech, & (4) Marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining sales quotas.
  • Telemarketing/cold calling prospective clients – keen ability to persuade prospect over a phone conversation to accept an in-person appointment and/or generate interest to attend an i-Tech event or function.
  • Door-to-door prospecting in targeted office developments to meet and greet prospective clients.
  • Keen ability, discipline, and persistence in targeting prospects with combination of calling, email, in-person visits, leaving information and/or goodie bags and repeating these tasks until an appointment is set.
  • Work closely with i-Tech marketing team on all prospecting activities.
  • Attend events and functions to drive the i-Tech brand and seek new opportunities.
  • Have the ability to penetrate gate-keepers and develop conversations with business owners / IT decision makers / IT directors.
  • Work closely with senior leadership team at i-Tech including sales reps on prospective appointments and opportunity development activities.
  • Strong computer knowledge, and communication skills is a MUST
  • Leverage LinkedIn and social media outlets to assist in building relationships with potential prospects
  • Prepares/updates leads and activities on sales opportunities and prospecting within i-Tech CRM systems (Connectwise & GlassHive).
  • Responsible for understanding and documenting the prospect’s overall objectives and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for new business and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve new and existing client sales and growth targets, working closely with the South Florida Regional Manager including the senior management team.
  • Prepare sales reports and commission reports on monthly basis for submission to Director of Administration and President and COO.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Regional Manager and President of i-Tech.


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience as a sales representative or in a similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Basic understanding of business and school technology with 2 years minimum experience with implementing and supporting technology systems in business and/or educational institution.

Communication and Reasoning Skills

  • Strong communication skills, including verbal presentation, writing, and email skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish is preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Be able to communicate our brand message and sales message professionally
  • Be persistent and organized
  • Talent for building and nurture prospect relationships.

  • Knowledge of the IT services industry and the South Florida market in general.
  • Ability to travel within the South Florida region as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to type and operate a computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, bend and twist neck. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving long distances. Employee may be required to use their personal vehicle for business purposes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend most of their time in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can occasionally be loud. The employee will be exposed to other work environments as needed based on project work at client sites. On occasion, the employee may be required to travel outside the typical i-Tech service area.

The employee will be required to work non-standard business hours from time to time for business critical needs or for scheduled project or support work.
