Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for driving the billing and collections activities of the organization to promote high performance, drive accountability, and design processes and metrics that create visibility into AR performance. The Senior Accounts Receivable Coordinator serves as a subject matter expert pertaining to all accounts receivable activities.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related major or Associate’s degree and three to five years of accounting work experience. Cost accounting coursework preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic billing processes and using third party accounts payable systems is preferred.
  • Ability to train, develop and give work direction to others.
  • Basic understanding of revenue recognition principals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in an effective and organized manner.
  • Ability to make financially sound decisions based on big picture understanding.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to improve situations or determine the best resolution.
  • Ability to help lead the company toward more automated processes; willingness to try new ideas and challenge the status quo.
  • Experience with effective communication with the ability to communicate with all levels of management within the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department and the company.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
